The Governors, Headteacher and Staff at
Wrotham
Road
Primary School
would like to welcome you to our school.
We
pride ourselves in being a multi-cultural school which plays an
important part in the local community. We are situated very close to
Gravesend
town centre.
We
currently have 370 pupils on roll including 40 pupils in our nursery who
attend on a part time basis. The Headteacher, Mrs Hetherington, would be
more than happy to show prospective parents around the school and answer
any questions you may have.

|
The
school day begins at 8:55am each morning and children can arrive ten
minutes before this time as a teacher is on duty in the playground. The
school closes for infants at 3:20pm and 3:25pm for juniors.
At
our school we encourage pupils to approach learning with an increasing
degree of independence and expect and achieve high standards of
attainment and behaviour. We believe that our school is a happy,
supportive learning environment where we endeavour to provide the best
education we can.

 |
We
are fully committed to equality of opportunity for all pupils. The
school will try to ensure that our teaching programmes and materials
promote positive views with regard to race, religion, gender and
physical or mental disability. We hope that through the relationships of
staff with each other, parents and children, that pupils will be helped
to form caring relationships with each other and the adults around them,
free from prejudice or stereotyping.
If
you decide you would like your child to attend this school, we look
forward to working with you. The partnership between home and school is
very important and one we value greatly.
